The Board registrar, Pam Pryor, was invited and sponsored by the International Network of Safety and Heath Practitioner Organisations (INSHPO) to attend a workshop on International Standards of OHS Practice held in September 2011 held in Istanbul.
The outcomes of this workshop had implications for recognition of qualifications for certification of OHS professionals, accreditation of OHS professional education and continuing professional education for OHS professionals.
The registrar has subsequently shared information with this group and also participated in further teleconferences planned to progress international activities in these areas. A further workshop is planned for July 2012 in Moscow.
