OHS Accredited
courses

Accreditation provides guidance to students, employers, advisors and recruiters in assessing
education, staff, and industry qualifications in the field of OHS professional development.

What we do...

OHS ACCREDITED EDUCATION programs

Accreditation of professional education programs for generalist OHS professionals is required to provide a basis for professional certification by recognising educational programs that address the required knowledge and skills for professional certification; to ensure that OHS professional education programs adequately prepare graduates to enter the workplace as an entry-level OHS professional, and optimise industry and community recognition and confidence in OHS professionals. The need for accreditation of professional education programs for generalist OHS professionals was identified as part of the OHS Body of Knowledge Project funded by WorkSafe Victoria.

OUR VISION

Our vision is that OHS professional education in Australia is based on strong scientific and technical concepts, is evidence informed, and delivered by competent professionals who are recognised by the industry, government, and the community.
